Technology Hub is a cluster-based organization formed of active organizations in the information technology field: providers of software services and solutions, universities and other catalyst organizations.

Technology Hub initiative was born as a catalyst to increase competitiveness of the IT sector in Romania, especially in the South Muntenia Region, and to respond to the challenges which the organizations faced in this sector in the recent years.

Technology Hub is an innovation-based value chain network of Romanian IT companies and related organizations which aims to increase the competitiveness of the regional economy, strengthen the process of interaction between enterprises, the research environment and public institutions, and increase the institutional capacity to implement European industrial policy, including the effective use of non-reimbursable funds.

For this, we intend to create in the South Muntenia Region an ecosystem suitable for the development and manufacture of innovative software services and products, with high value added, through: close collaboration between the cluster’s members, exchange of knowledge and ideas, public-private partnership and support of research – for the benefit of member organizations and with impact upon the society overall.

The specific objectives of the innovative TECHNOLOGY HUB are the following:

• Promoting and supporting the common interests of the R&D sector in the IT, Energy and Environment field in relation to the state and the economic environment at national and international level
• Strengthening the interaction between businesses, the research environment and public institutions
• Increasing competitiveness in the field of energy, environment and IT&C in the South Muntenia Region, especially for the products with high added value
• Creating and promoting the brand of innovative industry in the field of Energy, Environment and IT&C industry at regional level, through joint participation in national and international forums (conferences, fairs and exhibitions, economic events) and development of the services and the products offered by the cluster
• Attracting resources to develop the innovative sectors from the field of Energy, Environment and IT&C sectors and facilitating access to different sources of funding
• Facilitating the transfer of ideas, skills and work practices through: the establishment and management of databases and know-how, online platforms with relevant information in the fields of Energy, Environment and IT&C and R&D activities
